在物理學中,輻射是當高能量的粒子或能量或波穿過一個介質或空間的一個過程。輻射有兩種不同類型,離子化和非離子化。 不過輻射這個名詞通常是用在離子化輻射(即有足夠的能量來離子化原子),但它也可能指非離子化輻射(如無線電波或可見光)。輻射的能量是從它的來源點以直線方式向外各個方向擴散)。


In physics, radiation is a process in which energetic particles or energy or waves travel through a medium or space. There are two distinct types of radiation; ionizing and non-ionizing. The word radiation is commonly used in reference to ionizing radiation only (i.e., having sufficient energy to ionize an atom), but it may also refer to non-ionizing radiation (e.g., radio waves or visible light). The energy radiates (i.e., travels outward in straight lines in all directions) from its source.
